Magic Tree House #3: Mummies in the Morning – Chapter 7
1️⃣ Summary
Queen Hutepi floated up the stairs and into a cold, drafty room. Jack and Annie followed her. In the room, there was a pile of chairs and boxes, and on the other side of the room, there was a boat. Jack and Annie looked into the boat and found a clay jug. Jack reached into the jug and took out a scroll—it was the Book of the Dead. Meanwhile, on the other side of the room, a door creaked open. Jack and Annie came to the door and peered inside. There was a gold box, and its cover was on the floor. They went over to the gold box.

3️⃣ Short Story
Hansel and Gretel were going over to their grandparents’ house. They dropped breadcrumbs on the road to trace their way back home. But when they tried to return, most of the bread had been eaten by birds, so they could barely see the path. They wandered around, trying to find their way. At that moment, Gretel took Hansel by the arm and pointed at a house. The house was wrapped with cookies. They came to the cookie house, pushed on the door, and stepped inside—but no one was there. All the walls were covered with cookies. They went over to the walls and started gobbling them up.
✏️ Today's Reflection
I’m mostly getting used to making stories and sentence variations. So, at the end of this book, I really need to try other methods to practice English. I’m thinking about using the 5W1H method (Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How) to improve my fluency. From Book 4, I want to apply a new strategy.
